In Module 5 of the GAG Course, Josh explains what happens once you receive the Google ad grant and log into your account:
- You'll get an email from Google after receiving the grant with instructions on how to log in.
- Your homepage will initially be blank but will populate once you have a campaign running.
- To confirm you won't be charged, go to Tools and Settings, then Billing Summary, where it should state "We don't bill you."
Josh then delves into the Overview page, the account's home section, featuring key performance indicators and widgets:
- You can create a new campaign and adjust date ranges at the top.
- Main metrics include impressions, clicks, CTR (click-through rate), cost, and average cost per click.
- Conversion tracking will be explained in detail later.
- Other widgets display optimization score, search trends, demographics, and more.
The Overview page provides valuable insights into your account's performance, setting the stage for upcoming modules on recommendations and insights.
